So I got a new job today (this may only be temporary). My new job kicks off at a cosmetic medical office in West LA. Good points of job thus far: location, nice supervisor, nice doctor. Not so good points: I was so eager, I took the job without knowing the pay, my wardrobe is insufficient for the job, and I'm not sure if its part time or full time!!! Some of those worries will be fixed tomorrow of course when I flat out ask my super about them. I was kind of hoping to still be able to work at the Sports Club L.A. Beverly Hills, only for the sake of a free membership, and perhaps getting noticed by someone who can help me out in my career. Can you believe that swank ass club only pays $8.00 hr? WTF? Meanwhile, yes I left my beloved skincare retail job. I'm melancholy only because my co-worker Junko was interesting to be around because she's from Japan. I learn so much about their culture from her. It seems that 99.9% of Japanese people I've met are super sweet. (That makes Japan #2 on my list of countries to move to when the shit really hits the fan over here, Canada being number #1). I will also miss my company freebies, and 50% discount...sigh.... But this change is good for my brain, which was slowly debilitating while I did nothing but sit there and stare of in wonderment for 8 hours a day. Thank you God for answering my prayers, now can we work on my desired career goals?
