So today I go in for an interview at an insurance company for the position of mail clerk (times are hard!). When I meet the lady that i'm interviewing with immediately I can tell that she is one of those people who is always smiling, even when there's no real reason behind it. So, I brace myself and enter the room like a thoroughbred. At once, the questions are flying at me left and right, and i'm knocking them out of the park. The woman tells me that she is so impressed by me intelligence and charisma, that she wants her partner in on the interview!!! So her partner comes down, and the interviewer gives her the run down on me, and says that she thinks I would be best in a higher, salaried position. She expresses concern about me going to grad school, or getting bored with the mailroom position, and just leaving. I assure her that bills need to be paid, so that wasn't an option. So after all of this adulation from the both of them the shit hits the fan; they bust out with the aptitude test/personality test, or more commonly known as the "we can't legally force you to take a psychological test, but this comes closest to it" test. I hate these things, I hate all standardized tests, of all types. Why can't people figure out that a intelligent, sociopath, could easily lie through those tests. Not saying that's who I am but, I am rather intelligent, and if you're offering me a job, and you ask me am I more argumentative or amenable, of course i'm going to choose the latter!!! Wise up :)
